Who makes Tonograph

I am an engineer who loves the guitar enough to build them myself. I was never much of a player, and never much of a writer either. But I wanted to give something back to the guitar community, and that is why I set out to build this.

The free version opens a score and plays it. I believe that alone is worth a great deal when you are learning — as the score plays, the notes you are holding light up on the fretboard in real time.

Every guitar sound is synthesised as it plays. There is no sample library, so there is nothing extra to download.

I also put real care into MCP, so that an AI can help you edit the score. Use it for the creative work, and for the tedious work too.

This software is my life’s work, and I will keep building it.
