Approval mode
Check what AI will change before the change is applied.
Turn on approval mode#
On the Integration tab of , turn on the Confirm Before Editing switch.
It’s off at first and stays as you leave it the next time you start the app. Once on, it applies from the next time AI tries to change the song.
What’s confirmed#
Operations that change the song are confirmed, as are undo, redo, replacing the whole song, saving and exporting.
Operations that only read the song aren’t confirmed. Edits that change nothing pass through without asking.
The confirmation dialog#
When AI tries to change the song, a Request from AI dialog lists what will change.
The list shows where each change is, what it is, and the values before and after. If there are many changes, only the first ones are shown. Operations that don’t change the song, such as exports, say so. The dialog also shows how much time is left to answer.
Approve or not#
Click Approve to apply the change, or Don’t Approve to leave the song as it is.
An approved edit can be undone with ⌘ZCtrl+Z like any other edit. Don’t Approve is selected first, and pressing EscEsc or clicking outside the dialog also counts as not approving. When AI makes several requests in a row, each is confirmed in turn.
Timing out#
If you don’t answer before the time runs out, the request is treated as not approved.
The AI client doesn’t wait indefinitely. An approval clicked after the time is up doesn’t go through.
