The interface

Each part of the window is numbered, with its name and what it does.

1. The whole window

   The window with a song open, divided into seven areas, and what each one is for.

2. Welcome screen

   The screen you see at launch. Start a new song, or open a file or a sample score.

3. Toolbar

   The buttons along the top of the window, for files, playback and view options.

4. Edit palette

   The buttons for entering notes and techniques sit in a single row above the score.

5. Left panel

   Switch between the track list and the edit history. At the bottom you adjust the audio coming in and going out.

6. Inspector

   Edit the note, beat and bar under the cursor, as well as settings for the track and the whole song.

7. Bottom panel

   Tabs for the pedalboard, the instrument board and warnings.

8. Status bar

   The strip at the very bottom of the window, showing the cursor position and the state of the app.
