Export a MIDI file#
Choose and choose where to save.
Each track becomes one MIDI track, and the tempo and time signature are written too. Repeats and directions such as D.S. are expanded into the order the music is actually played.
What’s written#
Pitches and lengths, velocities, tempo and bends are written.
Drum tracks go on the drum channel. Sound changes partway through the song are written too.
What isn’t written#
Notation such as technique marks, lyrics and chord names doesn’t go into a MIDI file.
Track mute and solo, volume and pan aren’t applied either. Gradual tempo changes become steps.
