Saving and autosave
Save your song as a .tonograph file. Unsaved changes are kept aside automatically, so you can recover them after a crash.
SavePaid version#
Press ⌘SCtrl+S to save the song as a .tonograph file.
The first time, a dialog opens to choose where to save. After that, the same file is overwritten. To keep a separate file, press ⌘⇧SCtrl+Shift+S.
Songs opened from a .gp file or a sample score ask where to save the first time. The original file isn’t changed.
The unsaved-changes mark#
When there are unsaved changes, the window title and the toolbar’s save button are marked.
The mark disappears when you save.
AutosavePaid version#
Unsaved changes are kept aside automatically at regular intervals.
If the app crashes, the welcome screen shows Your previous work is still here the next time you start it. Press Restore to get your work back. Change the interval with Autosave Interval on the General tab of .
When you close#
If there are unsaved changes, a Unsaved Changes dialog appears before the song closes.
Save saves and then closes, and Don’t Save discards the changes and closes. Cancel keeps the song open.
