Copy and paste

Copy the selected beats and paste them somewhere else.

Copy#

Select a range and press ⌘CCtrl+C to copy the selected beats.

⌘XCtrl+X copies them and then turns the original beats into rests of the same length.

Paste#

Put the cursor on the beat where you want to paste, and press ⌘VCtrl+V.

The copied beats overwrite the beats from the cursor onwards, one for one. Following beats are replaced, not pushed back. At the end of a bar the paste carries on into the next bar, and past the end of the song bars are added.

Paste into another track#

You can paste into a track with a different number of strings.

Notes on strings the target track doesn’t have are dropped, and a beat that loses all its notes becomes a rest. You can’t paste between different kinds of instrument, such as from guitar to piano.
