Extended techniques

Add marks for particular instruments and styles, such as slap, barre and wah, to beats.

Slap, pop and tap#

Select a beat and press a button on the Extended Techniques row of the Inspector.

Slap (bass), Pop (bass) and Tap (bass) are bass technique marks that are heard in playback too. Slash notation (rhythm) on the same row switches to notation that shows only the rhythm with slashes.

Barre#

Turn on Barre, then choose Barre Position and Barre Type.

It marks in the score where one finger holds down several strings.

Wah and fade#

Use the Wah row for open and closed wah, and the Fade row for changes in volume.

Golpe and rasgueado#

The Golpe and Rasgueado rows add flamenco guitar techniques.

Ornaments#

Select a note and press OO to cycle through turns and mordents.

Each press goes Inverted Turn, Turn, Upper Mordent, Lower Mordent, then none.

Fingering#

Select a note and choose a finger on the Fingering (left hand) and Fingering (right hand) rows.

Fingering goes on the note with the cursor only. Even with a range selected, other notes don’t get it.
