Grace notes
Add short notes written small just before the next note.
Turn a note into a grace note#
Select a note and press ⇧GShift+G to make it a grace note of the next note.
Write the notes as usual, then press it on the note you want as a grace note. If the next note is in the next bar, the grace note attaches to the first note of that bar. The cursor moves to the new grace note.
Notes shorter than an eighth keep their length; longer notes become sixteenth-note grace notes. Hammer-on and slide links are kept, and other techniques are removed.
Add several grace notes#
Press ⇧GShift+G on consecutive notes in turn to line up several grace notes.
Pressing it just before a note that already has grace notes adds the new one at the start of the run.
Turn a grace note back into a note#
Put the cursor on a grace note and press ⇧GShift+G to turn it back into a normal note.
←Left moves from the main note onto its grace notes.
Edit grace notes in the inspector#
Use the Grace Note row of the Inspector to add and remove grace notes.
With the cursor on the main note, + adds a grace note and − removes the whole run. With the cursor on a grace note, you can change its fret, Connection to Beat and Type.
