Strums and arpeggios

Set the direction chords are strummed and notes are picked, beat by beat.

Strum#

Select a beat and choose a direction on the Strum row of the Inspector.

Strum Down sounds from the low string and Strum Up from the high string. Once a direction is chosen, the Speed row appears so you can choose how quickly it moves across the strings.

Arpeggio#

Choose an arpeggio direction on the Strum row to spread a chord out slowly.

With an arpeggio, Speed starts at Slow.

Pick stroke#

Use the Pick Stroke row to mark Pick Stroke Down or Pick Stroke Up.

It’s a playing instruction written in the score.

Tremolo picking#

Choose how fast to pick on the Tremolo Picking row.

The same note is picked repeatedly at the note value you choose.
